Variety Show Performer Instructions
Thanks for performing in the 60th Annual Variety Show. We're going to put
on a fun and entertaining show, but it's limited to one night so we're
going to need to follow a few guidelines. The basic information for the
show is:
- Tryouts: Thursday, March 5, 7-10 pm
- Linup Announcement: Monday, March 23 8:30 am
- Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, April 2, 7-9 pm
- Performance: Friday, April 17, 7-9 pm
- Coordinators: Matt Lonner 482-3110, Paul Farrington 531-8335
Guidelines:
- Each act must show up for the tryouts. If a member is missing,
that's ok but all members' contact information must be listed on
the registration form at the tryouts.
- Each act must fully complete the registration form.
- Acts will be limited to three minutes.
- All members of each act must show up for the dress rehearsal.
- All members of each act must show up for the performance.
- No changes to acts may be made between tryouts and the dress
rehearsal or performance in membership or supporting music.
- Acts must bring a copy of any required recorded music to the
dress rehearsal and leave it with the show coordinator until the
performance.
- Acts may not contain offensive or inappropriate music or language.
This is a family show and will be kept appropriate at the discretion
of the coordinators.
The lineup for the show will be posted on the office bulletin board
on Monday, March 23rd. While we will attempt to include all performers
who follow the guidelines, acts that duplicate other acts or fail to
show some entertainment value may not make the lineup. Please respect
the coordinators' decisions regarding the lineup, as we only have one
night to do the show and must try to fit as many acts in as we can.
